Job summary

Capital One is seeking a Senior Manager, Compensation to join the Total Rewards team. The role guides compensation strategy and analytics, partnering with HR business partners and executives to shape programs and offers.

You’ll manage benchmarking, job evaluations, and cross-group initiatives in a fast-paced environment. You will lead compensation cycles, mentor junior staff, and collaborate with recruiters on competitive offers, using data-driven analysis to inform executive decisions.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree or military experience is required.
At least 5 years in Compensation or Finance or Analytics, or a combination.
At least 2 years of people management experience.
At least 3 years of experience with Excel and developing data-based stories in PowerPoint or Slides.

Responsibilities

Consult with HRBPs and business leaders to provide compensation guidance.
Deliver expert compensation consulting and develop proposals for senior decision-makers.
Perform deep analysis on effectiveness and competitiveness of compensation programs.
Lead mid-year and year-end compensation cycles for client groups.
Collaborate with recruiters to develop competitive offer packages for external hires.
