Job summary

Aon plc is seeking a Senior Compensation Consultant to join our Employee Rewards advisory practice in Boston, supporting major clients across industries. The role focuses on market data, benchmarking, job architecture, and compensation design to help clients make informed workforce decisions.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in compensation consulting, strong analytics, and excellent communication. You will manage complex projects, mentor junior staff, and contribute to new business development

Qualifications

• 5+ years of compensation consulting and/or corporate compensation experience.
• Bachelor’s degree is required; a master's degree or MBA is preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication and client-facing skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage deliverables for medium to large projects or defined workstreams within larger engagements.
• Develop high-quality, client-ready deliverables that synthesize and interpret complex information.
• Support compensation design, job architecture, job evaluation, salary structure development, cost modeling, and impact analysis.
• Review and take accountability for methodology, analysis, and outputs across staffed projects.
• Serve as a liaison among engagement leaders, project teams, and clients to support communication and execution.
• Develop reports and presentations that clearly communicate findings, methodologies, implications, and recommendations.
• Interface with clients and participate in client presentations.
• Provide guidance, coaching, and developmental feedback to junior colleagues and peers.
• Support new business development and broader practice growth activities.
