Mothers Outreach Network in Washington, DC, seeks a Senior Communications Manager to own external communications end to end. You will write and produce social media content, campaign materials, newsletters, and donor communications, reporting to the Executive Director.

The role is hands-on with potential growth into broader fundraising strategy. Required are 5-7 years of communications experience, strong writing skills, and a deep commitment to racial justice and Black families.

Qualifications

• 5-7 years of professional communications experience.
• Strong writing ability across formats - social copy, email, advocacy materials.
• Deep commitment to racial justice and dignity of Black mothers and families.
• Comfort working independently and producing high-volume content with minimal support staff.

Responsibilities

• Plan, write, and post content across MON's social media platforms on a consistent daily and weekly cadence.
• Draft all external communications - campaign content, newsletters, advocacy materials, event promotion.
• Write donor-facing communications, including solicitation appeals and stewardship emails, with Executive Director.
• Maintain and execute a content calendar aligned to MON's advocacy campaigns, coalition work, and events.
• Support press-adjacent writing, including talking points, statements, and testimony-related content.
• Maintain brand consistency across platforms and materials.
• Track content performance and report on engagement and reach.
