Job summary

Machine Learning Technologies, LLC in New Jersey is seeking a Senior Business Systems Analyst to support commodity trade operations, focusing on techno-functional delivery for SaaS, off-the-shelf, and custom applications. You will translate business needs into clear requirements, drive end-to-end analysis, and partner with IT, Trading, Risk, and Back/Middle Office teams.

Ideal candidates have deep commodity trading knowledge, experience with ION XTP/OpenLink, and hands-on support for ETRM/CTRM

Qualifications

7+ years as a Business Analyst or Senior Business Analyst in commodity trading or hedging.
Experience delivering across requirements, process mapping, solution design support, SIT/UAT coordination, and deployment readiness.
Experience with production applications including incident analysis, root-cause investigation, and operational documentation.
Ability to translate complex business needs into clear, testable requirements with traceability through testing and release.
Strong facilitation and stakeholder management across multiple teams.
Knowledge of ION XTP or similar ION platforms and ION Openlink in a functional/techno-functional role.
Experience with soft commodities such as grains and seeds.

Responsibilities

Lead end-to-end business analysis for hedging and trade initiatives from discovery through stabilization and hypercare.
Document current and future-state processes including process maps, controls, handoffs, and exception handling across front-to-back trade flows.
Translate business needs into clear, testable requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, and documentation.
Partner with solution architects, product owners, and delivery teams to support solution design, configuration approach, and integration touchpoints.
Identify data and reporting needs including positions, exposures, P&L, settlements, and confirmations, and support alignment on definitions, sources, and reconciliation expectations.
Support SIT and UAT planning and execution, including test strategy input, test case review, and execution coordination.
Drive defect triage and resolution with vendors and internal teams to ensure timely fixes.
Support deployment readiness including cutover planning inputs and operational readiness checks.
Provide functional and techno-functional support for hedging and trade applications for day-to-day issue intake and resolution coordination.
Support integration monitoring and troubleshooting across market data, confirmations, settlements, accounting interfaces, and reporting.
Coordinate with vendors and internal teams to manage escalations and SLA tracking.
