Job summary

Ethereum Technologies is seeking a Senior Business Systems Analyst to strengthen commodity trade operations through strong analysis, clear requirements, and techno-functional support of SaaS and custom apps. You will collaborate with Trading, Risk, Middle Office, and IT to translate needs, support design, and ensure high-quality delivery across the full project lifecycle.

Ideal candidates have deep knowledge of commodity trading, hedging processes, and hands-on experience with ION XTP/Openlink.

Qualifications

• 7+ years as a Business Analyst or Senior Business Analyst in commodity trading and hedging (functional/tech-functional).
• Proven delivery across requirements, process mapping, solution design support, SIT/UAT coordination, deployment readiness, and hypercare.
• Experience supporting production applications including incident analysis, root-cause investigation, vendor coordination, and documentation.
• Ability to translate complex business needs into clear, testable requirements with traceability through testing and release.
• Strong facilitation and stakeholder management to align multiple teams and priorities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with focus on clarity and professionalism.
• Knowledge with ION XTP or similar ION platforms supporting trade processing and integrations.
• Knowledge with ION Openlink (Endur/Openlink) in a functional/tech-functional role for trading and risk operations.
• Experience with soft commodities such as grains and seeds.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end business analysis for hedging and trade initiatives from discovery through stabilization and hypercare.
• Document current and future-state processes including maps, controls, handoffs, and exception handling across front-to-back trade flows.
• Translate business needs into testable requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, and documentation.
• Support solution design, configuration approach, and integration touchpoints with architects and delivery teams.
• Identify data and reporting needs including positions, exposures, P&L, settlements, and confirmations; align definitions and sources.
• Support SIT and UAT planning, test strategy input, and test execution coordination.
• Drive defect triage and resolution; coordinate fixes with vendors and internal teams.
• Support deployment readiness including cutover planning and stakeholder communications.
• Provide functional and techno-functional support for hedging and trade applications during issue intake and resolution.
• Coordinate monitoring and troubleshooting of integrations with market data, confirmations, settlements, and accounting interfaces.
• Escalation management with vendors and internal teams; track SLAs and issue resolutions.
• Maintain and improve runbooks, intake processes, and escalation paths for operations.
• Analyze incidents and perform root-cause investigations; document findings and corrective actions.
• Develop operational documentation to improve consistency and reduce recurring issues.
• Support change management and release readiness for smooth transitions to operations.
• Serve as trusted partner, communicating clearly across business and technical audiences.
• Facilitate decision-making with options, impacts, dependencies, and trade-offs to align requirements and delivery.
• Promote disciplined delivery practices including scope control, traceability, and test evidence.
• Mentor junior analysts and contribute to analysis standards and templates.

Job Description:

As a Senior Business Systems Analyst to support and enhance commodity trade operations through strong business analysis, communication, and techno-functional solution support of SaaS, off-the-shelf, and custom applications. The role partners with Trading, Risk, Middle Office, Back Office, and IT teams to translate business needs into clear requirements, support solution design, and drive high-quality delivery across the full project lifecycle. The role also provides ongoing application and integration support, including incident analysis, root-cause investigation, and production stabilization. The ideal candidate brings deep understanding of commodity trading and hedging processes, strong stakeholder management, and hands‑on experience supporting ETRM/CTRM platforms in a functional or techno‑functional capacity. Now required: experience with ION XTP or similar ION platforms and experience with ION Openlink (Endur/Open link). Experience with soft commodities such as grains and seeds is required.

Responsibilities:

• Support deployment readiness including cutover planning inputs, operational readiness checks, and stakeholder communications.
• Provide functional and techno-functional support for hedging and trade applications for day-to-day issue intake, analysis, and resolution coordination.
• Support integration monitoring and troubleshooting across upstream and downstream systems such as market data, confirmations, settlements, accounting interfaces, and reporting.
• Coordinate with vendors and internal support teams to manage escalations, track SLAs, and ensure timely resolution of production issues.
• Maintain and improve support models including intake processes, triage playbooks, escalation paths, and operational runbooks.
• Analyze incidents and service requests, perform root-cause investigation, and document findings, workarounds, and permanent corrective actions.
• Develop and maintain operational documentation to improve support consistency and reduce recurring issues.
• Support production stabilization by identifying recurring defects, process gaps, and control weaknesses and drive remediation plans.
• Participate in change management and release readiness to ensure supportability, clear ownership, and smooth transitions to operations.
• Serve as a trusted partner to stakeholders and communicate clearly across business and technical audiences.
