Job summary

SOLV Energy in the United States is seeking a Senior Commissioning Manager to lead the Commissioning Project Management function and provide portfolio-level oversight across projects. This role is fully remote and partners with HV and BESS/PV leaders to integrate technical scope and field readiness while maintaining safety and quality standards.

The ideal candidate has 8+ years in EPC commissioning or project management, strong multi-project leadership, and proficiency with P6 scheduling,

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years of progressive EPC commissioning or project management experience.
• Experience leading multi-project or portfolio-level workloads.
• Ability to integrate commissioning activities into schedules, budgets, and plans.
• Strong knowledge of utility-scale solar, BESS, and HV commissioning interfaces.
• Proven ability to identify risks and drive cross-functional resolution.
• Ability to train, mentor, and develop PM personnel.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred; equivalent experience.
• PMP or related certification preferred.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Sr. Commissioning Project Management team with coaching and support.
• Establish goals, workload priorities, and accountability across regions.
• Hire, onboard, and mentor staff while supporting succession planning.
• Build a culture of safety, ownership, collaboration, and improvement.
• Standardize the Sr. CPM operating model across regions and project types.
• Maintain portfolio-level visibility of commissioning schedules and risks.
• Ensure clear Sr. CPM ownership and integrated commissioning plans for projects.
• Oversee engagement with cross-functional teams (Operations, Engineering, Procurement, Construction).
• Review staffing needs and recommend hiring or assignments.
• Monitor portfolio performance and drive improvements.
