Job summary

CMTA, a Legence Company, is seeking a Senior Commissioning Specialist to lead building commissioning for large, complex projects across the Minneapolis–Fargo region. The role focuses on HVAC and related systems, ensuring design intent, commissioning, and testing meet schedule and performance targets.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of Cx experience, strong facilitation and client-management skills, and a track record of delivering value through commissioning services.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of commissioning (Cx) experience.
• Facilitation, team building, and collaboration in construction environments.
• Robust project and client management experience.
• Preferred credentials but not required: CxA/BCxA, CPMP, CCP, BSC; Engineering degree; CEM/EBCP.

Responsibilities

• Manage and execute commissioning services for large, complex projects across the region.
• Primarily HVAC related; other systems include plumbing, electrical, lighting, fire alarm, security, nurse call.
• Attend meetings with design and construction teams to align goals and schedules.
• Support in obtaining sustainability certifications (LEED, B3, etc.).
• Assist in business development and developing value-added opportunities.
• Review submittals and shop drawings for compliance with design intent and testing requirements.
• Perform pre-functional inspections and field observations; assist in resolving startup issues.
