Job summary

CMTA, a Legence company, is seeking a Senior Commissioning Specialist to lead building commissioning for large projects regionally. The onsite role is based in Arlington, Richmond, or Annapolis, focusing on HVAC and related MEP systems.

Ideal candidates have 10+ years in Cx/HVAC, experience with LEED/ASHRAE/WELL, and strong team leadership. This role includes growth opportunities within Legence and cross-office collaboration.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of commissioning (Cx) or HVAC controls experience.
• Familiar with LEED, ASHRAE Level 1–3, WELL.
• Certifications in measurement & verification are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage and execute commissioning services for large, complex projects.
• HVAC, plumbing, electrical distribution, lighting, fire alarm and other systems oversight.
• Attend design/construction meetings to align goals with schedules.
• Develop and lead commissioning procedures and testing.
• Mentor and grow a team of commissioning experts.
• Support sustainability certifications (LEED, B3, etc).
