Job summary

CMTA, Inc. is seeking a Senior Commissioning Specialist to lead commissioning for large, complex projects with a focus on HVAC systems.

This onsite role supports Arlington, Richmond, or Annapolis offices and requires a strong background in design and construction coordination, test procedures, and sustainability documentation. The ideal candidate has 10+ years of Cx or HVAC controls experience, strong facilitation, and robust project/client management skills, with preferred credentials such as

Qualifications

• 10+ years of commissioning (Cx) or HVAC controls experience.
• Experience in construction environment with strong collaboration and facilitation.
• Project and client management experience; ability to lead teams.

Responsibilities

• Manage and execute commissioning services for large and complex projects.
• HVAC systems focus with related systems (plumbing, electrical, lighting, fire alarm, security).
• Develop pre-functional and functional test procedures and perform testing to confirm design intent.
