Job summary

IMEG seeks a Senior Commissioning Authority to lead commissioning across diverse building types from its Raleigh, NC office. The role includes planning, documentation, design reviews, field observations, and testing, with travel up to 30%.

You will mentor staff, manage schedules and budgets, and collaborate with owners, contractors, and multidisciplinary teams. Required BS in engineering and 7+ years of commissioning or 11+ years in related MEP design/construction; PE preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering required; 7+ years commissioning experience preferred, or 11+ years in design/commissioning in MEP fields.
• Experience with building automation and control systems; knowledge of ASHRAE and related standards.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work with owners, contractors, and design teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead multiple commissioning projects, manage client interface, and coordinate teams.
• Develop commissioning plans, specifications, and project documentation.
• Perform design reviews, submittal reviews, and field observations.
• Lead meetings and communicate with stakeholders; ensure issues are resolved.
• Perform functional testing and coordinate testing with contractors and owners.
• Analyze building operation and controls; contribute to process improvements.
