Job summary

IMEG is seeking a Senior Commissioning Authority to lead commissioning on large, complex projects. You will plan, document, review designs, observe field operations, perform functional tests, manage issues, and mentor junior staff.

Travel up to 30% is expected, with a focus on collaboration with owners, contractors, and multidisciplinary teams. The role emphasizes project management, documentation, and technical analysis of building operation, aiming to deliver integrated, high-quality

Qualifications

• BS degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (or equivalent).
• 7+ years in commissioning/MEP consulting; 8+ preferred.
• Alternatively 11+ years in commissioning/design consulting with 12+ preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage multiple commissioning projects: client interface, team coordination, schedule/budget management.
• Develop commissioning plans, specs, and docs using web tools (Cx Alloy).
• Perform design reviews, Cx submittal reviews, and field observations.
• Lead commissioning meetings with diverse stakeholders.
• Document field findings and issue detailed reports.
• Create pre-functional checklists and functional test procedures.
• Coordinate and perform functional testing with contractors/owners and resolve issues.
• Analyze building operation, controls, and sequences.
• Improve commissioning processes and quality standards.
• Mentor junior staff in a team setting.
