Job summary

JLL is seeking a Senior Commissioning Engineer in Chicago to lead commissioning for large-scale critical facilities. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Engineering and at least 10 years of MEP experience, ensuring compliance with ASHRAE and LEED standards.

Responsibilities include managing project documentation, conducting field operations, and collaborating with contractors. The position offers travel across USA client sites and a compensation range of $117,000 – $143,000 per year.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of relevant MEP engineering or field-testing experience.
• Minimum 5 years providing building commissioning and/or construction QA/QC field services.
• Expert knowledge of commissioning processes per ASHRAE, CSA, and LEED standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead and execute comprehensive commissioning activities across all project phases.
• Conduct field-based commissioning activities including site visits and functional testing.
• Manage end-to-end project documentation including commissioning deliverables.

Skills

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Ability to analyze and report on contractor

Strong data management skills

Demonstrated ability to coordinate multiple project schedules

Proficiency using electrical testing meters and equipment

Education
