Farm Family, a leading insurer in farm and ranch protection, seeks a Senior Commercial Underwriter to independently evaluate, underwrite, and manage complex commercial risks in line with guidelines and profitability goals.

You will provide guidance to agents and internal partners, mentor junior underwriters, and ensure regulatory and company standards are met across assigned territories.

Formación

• Associate or bachelor’s degree preferred but not required.
• Six to eight years of underwriting experience.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsabilidades

• Review and assess new business, renewals, endorsements, and cancellations across applicable commercial lines.
• Apply classifications, coverage forms, endorsements, deductibles, and limits based on exposure analysis.
• Ensure policy terms, conditions, and pricing comply with filed rates, rules, state regulations, and company standards.
• Document underwriting decisions clearly and thoroughly in underwriting systems.
• Balance profitability and competitive pricing by negotiating terms within authority.
• Mentor less experienced underwriters and support agents.

Educación

Bachelor’s or Associate degree preferred
