Job summary

Farm Family, a leading provider of farm and ranch protection, is seeking a Senior Commercial Underwriter to independently evaluate, underwrite, and manage complex commercial insurance risks in alignment with guidelines and profitability objectives. You will mentor agents and underwriters, drive disciplined growth, and ensure consistent, well-documented decision making.

The position requires 6–8 years of underwriting experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to balance

Qualifications

• Six to eight years of underwriting experience or equivalent knowledge.
• Ability to explain underwriting decisions clearly.
• Experience mentoring or coaching underwriters.

Responsibilities

• Review and assess new business, renewals, endorsements, and cancellations.
• Apply classifications, coverage forms, endorsements, deductibles, and limits.
• Ensure policy terms and pricing complies with regulations and standards.
• Document underwriting decisions clearly in systems.
• Mentor and coach other underwriters.
