Job summary

Columbia Bank is seeking an experienced commercial underwriter to assess new and renewal C&I and CRE loans, including lines of credit, asset-based facilities, and owner-occupied or investor real estate. You will analyze financials, industry risk, and documentation to craft concise credit recommendations with clear risk mitigations.

You will collaborate with CPMs, CSMs, and relationship managers, monitor borrower performance, ensure compliance with policies, and may mentor junior underwriters.

Qualifications

• 7–10 years of commercial underwriting/credit analysis experience.
• Strong knowledge of credit policies, documentation and risk rating.
• Excellent communication and presentation abilities.

Responsibilities

• Underwrites new and renewal C&I and CRE requests with various loan structures.
• Analyzes financial statements, industry risk and borrower cash flow.
• Prepares concise credit recommendations with risk mitigations.
• Monitors borrower performance and ensures policy compliance.
