Job summary

First American's Agency Division is seeking a skilled title examiner to join our Michigan team. You will examine chains of title for commercial properties, abstract and analyze records, and produce title products under underwriting guidelines.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent with 6+ years of commercial title examination experience.
• Michigan commercial title examination experience required.
• Strong attention to detail, analytical and problem-solving skills; customer service oriented.

Responsibilities

• Examine commercial/industrial titles for ownership and restrictions.
• Perform title examinations of complex orders requiring high level of title expertise.
• Abstract and analyze records such as leases, liens, easements, and plots.
• Write title products following guidelines and provide underwriting interpretation.
• Maintain accuracy and communicate findings to clients.
