Job summary

Pye-Barker Fire & Safety in Williamston, SC seeks a Commercial Service Technician to perform service, troubleshooting, repair, inspection, and preventive maintenance of intrusion alarms, access control, CCTV, and other low-voltage systems for commercial customers.

The role requires a high school diploma, 3+ years in the fire and life safety industry, a valid driver’s license, and ability to read blueprints and system drawings.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in fire and life safety industry.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and system drawings.
• Ability to work independently at customer sites.

Responsibilities

• Independently perform service, troubleshooting, repair, inspection, and maintenance of security systems including intrusion alarms, access control, CCTV, and low-voltage systems.
• Diagnose system issues and complete corrective actions in a timely and professional manner.
• Test and verify proper system functionality and compliance with applicable codes, standards, and customer requirements.
• Travel to job sites as required.
• Communicate professionally with customers, team members, and supervisors regarding job progress and system status.
