Job summary

GE Vernova seeks a Senior Commercial Risk Mitigation Manager to own end-to-end risk management in the Inquiry-to-Order phase, with a focus on U.S. Government contracting and FAR/DFARS compliance.

You will lead negotiations, risk reviews, and strategic engagement with internal and external stakeholders. The role drives RAM governance, contract strategy, and risk mitigation while coordinating with Legal, Finance, Tax, EHS and Security to ensure compliant, high-margin deals.

Qualifications

• 10–15+ years in government contracts, contract management, risk mitigation, and bid development.
• Advanced knowledge of FAR/DFARS, CMMC/NIST, and federal acquisition processes.
• Experience negotiating complex agreements (MSAs, NDAs, MOUs) and risk mitigation.
• Experience coordinating cross-functional inputs for timely contract reviews.
• Proficiency with CRM systems and MS Office suite.

Responsibilities

• Lead Government Contracting & Compliance reviews and negotiations.
• Drive risk mitigation, contract strategy, and redlining of complex agreements.
• Evaluate compliance obligations including CUI, export controls, and security requirements.
• Own RAM process and lead risk review sessions with Legal, Finance, Tax, EHS, Security.
• Provide guidance on contract structures and maximize margin while limiting liability.
• Develop standardized contract templates and commercial models; reduce cycle times.
• Coordinate handovers to Order-to-Remittance teams.
