Job summary

GE Vernova is seeking a Risk Mitigation Government Contract Specialist to lead contract reviews, risk assessments, and compliance across government and commercial programs in the Grid Solutions Power Transmission line.

You will drive risk processes in the Inquiry-to-Order phase, negotiate terms, manage government property requirements under FAR/DFARS, and coordinate with Legal, Finance, and Sales to align on a compliant, winning deal strategy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent with 10 years of related experience.
• 10+ years in government and commercial contract formation and execution.
• Experience with FAR/DFARS/DEARS and DoD DFARS.

Responsibilities

• Lead analysis of RFPs and ensure compliant matrices before submission.
• Lead Risk Review sessions and Deal Desks for early engagement and approvals.
• Draft terms, conditions, and assumptions; ensure acceptable risk profile.
• Oversee contract negotiation and governance; ensure compliance with Policy 5.0.
• Own the contract risk process and govern tools across the ITO phase.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to align on commercial strategy.
