Job summary

ConnectOne Bank in Englewood Cliffs, NJ is seeking a Business Relationship Manager to grow branch deposits, market share, and profitability by deepening existing commercial client relationships and developing new ones through networking. You will actively engage with the local community and coordinate cross-company partnerships to drive opportunities.

You will ensure compliance with regulatory and bank procedures while preparing regular reports and plans for leadership.

Qualifications

• Five years business banking experience.

Responsibilities

• Support the Bank’s “People First” focus and rules of engagement—maintaining a professional demeanor, working as an active member of the CNOB team, providing all clients excellent service, always striving to make CNOB "A Better Place to Be".
• Maintain and deepen existing commercial client relationships, and generate and develop new business relationships through networking, building relationships with referral sources, and prospecting.
• Maintain a strong presence with the local community through active involvement and leadership roles in various professional organizations and events.
• Handle client service issues; conduct research, taking ownership and following up on a daily basis as necessary until conclusion.
• Manage cross-company partnerships and alliances designed to acquire and drive business opportunities.
• Ensure all activities, transactions, and records are in compliance with operational, security, and control procedures of the Bank, as well as all applicable laws and regulations.
• Prepare appropriate, weekly, monthly, and annual reports and plans, and communicates this information to the appropriate departments in the Bank.
