Job summary

BCU seeks a seasoned Commercial Real Estate lender to develop and grow business relationships with commercial members, including CRE investors across asset classes. You will drive new business through proactive prospecting and a consultative approach as a trusted advisor.

You will structure credit solutions, partnering with internal teams to deliver loans, deposits, and Treasury Management services while maintaining strong credit quality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, economics, finance or accounting; MBA or other certifications a plus.
• Minimum of 8+ years of credit/commercial lending experience with CRE focus.
• Demonstrates leadership and ability to mentor analysts and partner cross-functionally.
• Thorough knowledge of underwriting and loan closing for CRE.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills with effective communication.

Responsibilities

• Grow loan portfolio by delivering tailored banking solutions for members and generating revenue from loans, deposits, and treasury management.
• Solicit new business to achieve origination goals while assessing credit risk.
• Expand COI network and act as trusted advisor to members and prospects.
• Mentor analysts and collaborate cross-functionally to drive team results.
• Coordinate with Private Client Services, Wealth Management, and branches for cross referrals.
• Advance credit approvals and support onboarding of new loan origination system.
• Maintain pipeline discipline and optimize portfolio risk and performance.
• Train departments on lending products, processes, and credit standards.
• Support department continuity and provide assistance to Department Manager.
