Our client is seeking an experienced, relationship-focused Senior Commercial Lender to join its banking team. This is an excellent opportunity for an established lender to inherit and manage an existing commercial loan portfolio of approximately $30 million while continuing to develop new business and expand the bank's presence in the market.
The Senior Commercial Lender will be responsible for managing and growing a diverse portfolio of commercial banking relationships. Responsibilities include originating, underwriting, structuring, and closing commercial loans; assessing credit risk; preparing and presenting loan requests; monitoring portfolio performance; and ensuring loans comply with the bank's credit policies and applicable regulations.
This individual will serve as a trusted financial partner to commercial clients, developing a strong understanding of their businesses and providing lending and banking solutions that support their goals. The lender will be expected to deepen existing relationships, identify cross-selling opportunities, generate referrals, and build new relationships through business development and community involvement.
The role offers potential leadership opportunities based on the candidate's experience and interests. These opportunities may include mentoring and developing other lenders, contributing to lending strategy, participating in credit and loan committees, and taking on broader responsibilities within the commercial banking team.
