Job summary

Alliant Insurance Services seeks a Senior Renewal Underwriter to review, underwrite and rate renewal business, ensuring submissions are complete and quotes can be negotiated.

You will collaborate with Retail Producers and Account Managers to define coverages, bind policies, and maintain renewal spreadsheets, files and reports.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree, 6+ years of experience, an active insurance license, and solid knowledge of the insurance industry.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Six or more years of related work experience.
• Knowledge of the insurance industry.
• Valid Insurance License; must renew.
• Driver license valid and in state.

Responsibilities

• Underwrites a renewal book of business in accordance with underwriting guidelines.
• Collaborates with brokers/agents to negotiate renewal terms and maintain relationships.
• Analyzes policies and endorsements for errors, omissions or discrepancies.
• Issues policies and endorsements; binds coverage and coordinates binders/evidences.
• Maintains and manages renewal spreadsheet.
• Coordinates preparation of policy delivery with related documents.
• Services Renewal Underwriter calls and answers questions on client coverage.
• Maintains files for renewal submissions and written or lost business.
• Maintains client suspense and conducts follow-ups.
• Acts as technical expert to assist Account Managers with complex issues.
• Complies with data standards and data integrity in agency systems.
