Qualifications

• At least 8 years in commercial banking, portfolio management, underwriting or related discipline.
• Subject matter expert in accounting, credit analysis, portfolio management, structuring and legal documentation.
• Strong risk judgment with ability to manage complex and higher-risk portfolios.
• Experience guiding or reviewing junior staff is preferred but not required.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for collaboration with partners.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, complex transactions and deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Maintain an independent, forward-looking view of each client’s creditworthiness and communicate risk perspectives to partners.
• Perform ongoing monitoring and deal reviews; approve or recommend renewal or exit decisions.
• Analyze historical financials and projections to ensure accurate risk ratings and trends.
• Manage underwriting, approval and documentation for transactions including renewals and amendments.
• Review credit decisions, interpret policy, escalate high-risk requests as needed.
• Ensure compliance with credit policies, regulatory guidelines and docs standards.
• Lead or participate in senior-level portfolio management discussions and initiatives.
• Collaborate with Relationship Managers and Credit Risk throughout the deal lifecycle.
