Job summary

UMB Bank in Phoenix seeks a Senior Portfolio Manager to guide commercial loan portfolios, underwrite credit, and manage risk for large/complex relationships. You will collaborate with loan officers to structure loans, monitor covenants, and expand business with corporate clients.

The role requires extensive banking experience, strong analytical and communication skills, and a proactive, self-motivated approach to portfolio growth within a dynamic team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Finance or related fields.
• 5+ years commercial banking experience including credit underwriting.
• Current valid driver's license.
• Demonstrates strong communication skills (verbal & written).
• Understanding of credit underwriting and lending policies.

Responsibilities

• Partner with loan officers to administer management of commercial banking relationships.
• Perform detailed credit analysis and prepare underwriting documents for approval.
• Monitor borrowing base, covenant compliance, and reporting requirements.
• Analyze borrower financial performance and ensure covenant compliance.
• Provide recurring customer service and support to clients; manage exceptions.
