Job summary

UMB Financial Corporation in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a Senior Portfolio Manager to support loan officers by underwriting and managing large, complex Commercial & Industrial credits. You will analyze financial statements, structure loans, monitor covenants, and prepare credit packages for committee review while maintaining client service.

Ideal candidates have a bachelor’s degree in Business/Finance/Accounting and 5+ years of commercial banking experience with underwriting.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or related field.
5+ years commercial banking experience including credit underwriting.
Strong written and verbal communication.
Knowledge of bank products, services, and credit reports.

Responsibilities

Partner with loan officers to administer management of commercial banking relationships.
Perform detailed credit analysis and underwriting for borrower/guarantor capacity.
Prepare credit packages for credit committee approval and monitor financial covenants.
Support portfolio monitoring, collateral analysis, and documentation tracking.
Provide ongoing client service and cross-sell opportunities when appropriate.
