Job summary

Synovus is seeking a professional to manage a portfolio of commercial loan workout relationships, typically $1M each, ensuring timely resolutions and preserving principal while maximizing fee income.

The role requires coordinating with tax, legal, audit and policy teams, enforcing rights if plans fail, and maintaining accurate credit documentation. Experience with NMLS is required by SAFE Act mandates.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance or related discipline; 8 years job related experience, 5 years job specific experience.
• NMLS registration within established timeframe as per SAFE Act.

Responsibilities

• Manages an assigned portfolio of 15-20 commercial loan workout relationships with typical size around $1M.
• Coordinates with tax, legal, audit and credit/loan policy to ensure compliance of workout agreements.
• Enforces rights and remedies if workout plan fails and coordinates liquidation value with liquidators and appraisers.
• Prepares management reporting, monitors covenant compliance, and updates loan loss recognition and accruals.
• Interacts with peers and clients; may mentor junior staff and guide workout specialists.
