Job summary

WesBanco, Inc. is seeking a senior-credit professional to oversee a portfolio of troubled commercial and CRE credits, developing and implementing strategies to minimize potential losses.

The role requires deep knowledge of commercial underwriting, collection practices, and the ability to negotiate remediation plans with borrowers. The position works closely with bank management, lending staff and legal counsel to ensure compliance with applicable laws and policies, while driving effective exit

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related field and 5 years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in Commercial Banking, Portfolio Management or Loan Review.
• Prior commercial workout experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Reviews loan files upon assignment to understand the transaction and circumstances.
• Takes appropriate action to enforce the bank's rights or position with respect to the loan and collateral.
• Discusses issues with supervisor, other management personnel, and/or legal counsel to develop strategies and solutions.
• Documents loan files with respect to actions taken and pertaining to each assigned account.
• Works with third parties when appropriate to dispose of collateral.
• Interacts with and direct the activities of commercial banking officers on accounts that are being handled on a shared responsibility basis.
• Reviews, analyzes and interprets financial statements, perform cash flow and personal financial statement analysis to assess borrower strength.
• Responds to inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or business community.
• Maintains knowledge of applicable regulations relating to collections/workouts and ensure policies are compliant.
• Develops and implements credit administration strategies to minimize potential loss.
• Collaborates with management and legal counsel to ensure accounts are managed per Credit Policy and laws.
