Job summary

WesBanco, Inc. is seeking a skilled professional to administer a portfolio of troubled and distressed commercial and CRE credits.

The role focuses on developing and implementing credit administration strategies to minimize potential losses, with deep knowledge of commercial underwriting and collection practices and the ability to negotiate exit or remediation with borrowers. This position collaborates with bank management, lending staff and legal counsel to ensure compliance with applicable laws

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related field; 5 years of related experience or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in Commercial Banking, Portfolio Management or Loan Review; strongly preferred.
• Prior commercial workout experience preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office products.

Responsibilities

• Review loan files upon assignment to understand the transaction and circumstances.
• Enforce the bank's rights or position with respect to the loan and collateral.
• Discuss issues with supervisor, other management personnel, and/or legal counsel to develop strategies and solutions.
• Document loan files with respect to actions taken and pertaining to each assigned account.
• Work with third parties when appropriate to dispose of collateral.
• Interact with and direct the activities of commercial banking officers on accounts that are being handled on a shared responsibility basis.
• Review, analyze and interpret financial statements, perform cash flow and personal financial statement analysis to assess borrower strength.
• Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations relating to collections and workouts.
• Develop and implement credit administration strategies that minimize the Bank's potential loss.
• Collaborate with management to ensure accounts are managed per Credit Policy and laws.
