Job summary

FCCI is seeking a Senior Commercial Lines Underwriter in the Mid-Atlantic region to drive profitable growth by underwriting and pricing commercial risks. You will work with agents to meet profitability and production goals, applying company guidelines and building strong relationships across a multi-state territory.

The role offers a hybrid schedule based in Glen Allen, VA, with field options in PA, MD, VA, NC, or SC. Competitive salary and comprehensive benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent required.
• Four or more years of commercial property and casualty underwriting experience.
• Advanced knowledge of P&C insurance forms and rating rules.
• Advanced working knowledge of underwriting and loss control principles.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.

Our dynamic team is looking for a Senior Commercial Lines Underwriter to assist in the acquisition and retention of profitable commercial lines customers, through sound underwriting principles reflective of company policy. The Underwriter will work with assigned agents in meeting profitability and production goals, by following guidelines and establishing business relationships, along with managing the pricing and underwriting of an assigned territory of business. The ideal candidate will have commercial lines underwriting experience and strong agency relationships in states such as Virginia, Maryland, Pennsylvania, North Carolina and South Carolina.This position will work a hybrid schedule in our Mid-Atlantic Office in Glen Allen, VA or could be a field-based position in Pennsylvania, Maryland, Virginia, North or South Carolina.

The salary range for this position is $83,080-$127,945 annually. This salary range is an estimate and the actual salary will vary based on applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities.
