Job summary

FCCI is seeking a Senior Commercial Lines Underwriter in the Mid-Atlantic region to drive profitable growth by underwriting and pricing commercial risks. You will work with agents to meet profitability and production goals, applying company guidelines and building strong relationships across a multi-state territory.

The role offers a hybrid schedule based in Glen Allen, VA, with field options in PA, MD, VA, NC, or SC. Competitive salary and comprehensive benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent required.
• Four or more years of commercial property and casualty underwriting experience.
• Advanced knowledge of P&C insurance forms and rating rules.
• Advanced working knowledge of underwriting and loss control principles.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the acquisition and retention of profitable commercial lines customers.
• Collaborate with assigned agents to meet profitability and production goals.
• Manage pricing and underwriting for an assigned territory; maintain relationships across states.
