Job summary

Insurance Office of America seeks an Account Manager - Commercial Lines to manage a book of business, support new business, and coordinate policy administration, billing, claims, and coverage analysis.

The role requires 3+ years in account management (or 5+ years in insurance), an active P&C license, and MS Office proficiency. CIC preferred. Remote work is available for Eastern or Central Time Zone residents, with on-site work possible per policy.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of account management experience or 5+ years in the insurance industry.
• Active P&C license is required; CIC or equivalent designation preferred.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Exceptional customer service, communication, multitasking, and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• High School Diploma (or equivalent).

Responsibilities

• Manage an assigned book of business, ensuring account retention and supporting new business.
• Coordinate day-to-day administrative and customer service activities, resolving complex issues, and ensuring no errors or omissions.
• Maintain technical competence and industry expertise.
• Direct daily activities of the account management team.
• Handle customer service requests, policy administration, billing, claims, and coverage analysis.
• Manage policy expirations and renewals.
• Monitor delinquent accounts and collect outstanding balances.
• Maintain agency management systems and carrier/vendor platforms.
• Maintain frequent, transparent communication with the account team.
• Deliver excellent service and proactively anticipate needs.
