Job summary

The Fidelity Bank in Atlanta, GA is seeking a Senior Business Development Officer to lead local business banking relationships and drive loan production and deposit growth within assigned markets.

You will develop new client relationships through networking, manage credit quality, and collaborate with Branch Managers to expand commercial and consumer lending, while adhering to bank policies and regulatory guidelines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 6 years of experience in commercial lending, credit, and business development or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Possess in-depth knowledge of commercial lending, including the ability to evaluate cash flow and collateral.
• Advanced financial analysis, strong credit underwriting, and analytical skills.
• Ability to handle confidential and proprietary information.
• Excellent communication skills, oral and written.
• Thorough understanding of loan laws and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Achieves annual deposit, loan and referral sales results by developing new client relationships through networking with existing customers, leveraging COIs and making prospecting calls.
• Interview potential loan customers and process loan requests.
• Create a Personal Business Development Plan for the designated area and include a prospect list of profitable business and retail relationships.
• Partner with the Branch Manager to ensure consistent and quality relationship building and referrals between BDO and Branch Manager.
• Represent the Bank within the community by developing and promoting additional business and serving as an officer with at least one community organization.
