Job summary

1870 Holdings in Peoria, IL is seeking a Commercial Lender to develop and manage a portfolio of commercial, agricultural, and real estate lending relationships. This role emphasizes business development and maintaining high credit quality through underwriting.

You will call on local businesses, present loan requests, monitor performance, and cross-sell treasury services while upholding community banking values and local decision-making.

Qualifications

• Five or more years of commercial lending experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of commercial credit underwriting and financial statement analysis.
• Experience with commercial real estate and agricultural lending preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Accounting, Agriculture, or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop new commercial and agricultural lending relationships through proactive business development.
• Structure commercial loan opportunities meeting customer needs while managing risk.
• Perform financial analysis and underwrite commercial credit requests.
• Present loan requests and recommendations to the appropriate approval authority.
• Monitor portfolio performance and identify developing credit concerns.
• Cross-sell treasury management, deposits, and other banking services.
• Represent the bank in the community through networks and associations.
• Maintain high level of customer service with local decision-making.
• Stay current on industry trends, regulations, and local market conditions.
• Conduct duties in compliance with laws and bank policies.
