Job summary

Tropolis is seeking a Commercial Lines Senior Account Manager to join our Michigan team, focusing on managing and growing our commercial insurance book of business. This role requires strong client service, policy lifecycle execution, and deep knowledge of commercial lines coverage.

The ideal candidate will have 8–10 years in commercial lines, be proficient in Applied Epic, and hold a P&C license with certifications as a plus.

Qualifications

• 8-10 years of experience in commercial lines account management.
• Proficiency in Applied Epic is required.
• Strong knowledge of commercial insurance products, coverages, and regulations.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
• P&C license required; certifications (CIC, CPCU, CRM) are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary point of contact for commercial lines clients and maintain strong relationships.
• Handle the full policy lifecycle including renewals, endorsements, audits, and cancellations.
• Evaluate clients' risk exposures and provide tailored coverage recommendations.
• Collaborate with carriers to secure competitive coverage, negotiate terms, and present proposals.
• Identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling to meet evolving client needs.
• Act as liaison between clients and carriers to resolve claims, billing, and coverage issues.

Salary: $95,000 - $130,000 + Bonus

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary point of contact for commercial lines clients, developing strong relationships and ensuring their insurance needs are met
• Handle the full policy lifecycle, including renewals, endorsements, audits, and cancellations
• Evaluate clients’ risk exposures and provide tailored coverage recommendations
• Collaborate with carriers to secure the most competitive coverage solutions, negotiate terms, and present proposals
• Identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling additional products to meet clients’ evolving needs
• Act as a liaison between clients and carriers, resolving claims, billing, and coverage issues in a timely manner
• Maintain accurate records, ensure adherence to company and regulatory guidelines, and document all client interactions in Applied Epic

Qualifications

• 8-10 years of experience in commercial lines account management, preferably within an independent insurance agency
• Proficiency in Applied Epic is required
• Strong knowledge of commercial insurance products, coverages, and industry regulations
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
• Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance license required. Industry certifications (e.g., CIC, CPCU, CRM) are a plus

• Salary range of $95,000 - $130,000, based on experience and qualifications
