Position Overview

We are seeking a Senior Account Manager to join our Michigan team and play a key role in managing and growing our commercial insurance book of business. This individual will be responsible for providing strategic account management, delivering exceptional client service, and ensuring seamless policy execution.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary point of contact for commercial lines clients and develop strong relationships.
• Handle the full policy lifecycle, including renewals, endorsements, audits, and cancellations.
• Evaluate clients’ risk exposures and provide tailored coverage recommendations.
• Collaborate with carriers to secure competitive coverage solutions, negotiate terms, and present proposals.
• Identify opportunities for upselling and cross‑selling additional products.
• Act as a liaison between clients and carriers, resolving claims, billing, and coverage issues in a timely manner.
• Maintain accurate records, adhere to company and regulatory guidelines, and document all client interactions in Applied Epic.

Qualifications

• 8–10 years of experience in commercial lines account management, preferably within an independent agency.
• Proficiency in Applied Epic is required.
• Strong knowledge of commercial insurance products, coverages, and industry regulations.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem‑solving skills.
• Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance license required; industry certifications (CIC, CPCU, CRM) are a plus.
