Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary contact for commercial lines clients, building strong relationships and ensuring needs are met.
• Manage the full policy lifecycle including renewals, endorsements, audits and cancellations.
• Evaluate client risk exposures and recommend tailored coverage.
• Collaborate with carriers to secure competitive coverage and negotiate terms.
• Identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling to meet evolving client needs.
• Act as liaison between clients and carriers for claims, billing and coverage issues.
• Maintain accurate records and document client interactions in Applied Epic.

Position Overview

We are seeking a Commercial Lines Account Manager to join our Commerce, MI team and play a key role in managing and growing our commercial insurance book of business. This individual will be responsible for providing strategic account management, delivering exceptional client service, and ensuring seamless policy execution. The ideal candidate is a proactive, detail-oriented insurance professional with a strong background in commercial lines coverage, proficiency in Applied Epic, and a commitment to delivering an exceptional client experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary point of contact for commercial lines clients, developing strong relationships and ensuring their insurance needs are met
• Handle the full policy lifecycle, including renewals, endorsements, audits, and cancellations

Qualifications

• 5-7 years of experience in commercial lines account management, preferably within an independent insurance agency
• Proficiency in Applied Epic is required
• Strong knowledge of commercial insurance products, coverages, and industry regulations
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
• Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance license required. Industry certifications (e.g., CIC, CPCU, CRM) are a plus
