Job summary

Service Experts Heating & Air Conditioning in Charleston, SC is seeking a Commercial Service Technician II to diagnose, service, and repair commercial HVAC systems (5+ tons) and related equipment. You will communicate with customers, promote services, and work under supervision to ensure high satisfaction and safety.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED with HVAC training, 5+ years of experience, EPA certification, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with additional training and 5+ years’ experience in HVAC with technical training certification required.
• Must possess all valid licensing or certification as required by federal, state, provincial, or local governmental laws or regulations for the geographical work area.
• EPA and safety certifications required.
• Proficient mechanical aptitude and the ability to operate all necessary tools and equipment.
• Proficient at reading wiring diagrams and troubleshooting problems with electrical, refrigerant and duct systems on HVAC equipment.

Responsibilities

• Performs diagnostic and service work on commercial HVAC equipment and accessories.
• Communicates with customer to answer questions, resolves problems, and ensures complete satisfaction.
• Inspects equipment and performs diagnostics to identify potential problems and prevent breakdowns.
• Completes routine maintenance and equipment cleaning as needed.
• Delivery and removal of parts and equipment needed to complete service work.
• Records all required information on the handheld device and completes paperwork neatly and timely.
