Job summary
Service Experts Heating & Air Conditioning in Charleston, SC is hiring a Commercial Service Technician I to perform diagnostic and repair work on rooftop HVAC systems. You will work with minimal supervision under the Field Supervisor or Branch Manager and service boilers, ventilation, and related equipment.
The role requires 4+ years of HVAC experience, a valid license or certification, and strong troubleshooting and safety skills.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED with additional training and 4+ years’ HVAC experience.
- Valid licensing or certification as required by local laws.
- Ability to read wiring diagrams and troubleshoot electrical, refrigerant, and duct systems.
Responsibilities
- Perform commercial rooftop service and maintenance calls under supervision.
- Diagnose, analyze, and resolve customer problems in a courteous, timely manner.
- Inspect equipment to prevent breakdowns and identify potential issues.
- Deliver and remove parts and equipment needed for service work.
- Record call details with handheld device and complete paperwork accurately.
- Communicate with dispatch for status reports while on duty.
- Promote products and services and provide excellent customer service.
- May train other commercial service technicians as assigned.
- Maintain company vehicle, tools, and inventory in proper condition.
- Ensure regular attendance and reliability.
