Job summary

Engineering Excellence National Account is seeking a senior HVAC technician to diagnose, repair, and maintain complex commercial systems. You will mentor others, assist with field leadership tasks such as work planning and audits, and deliver exceptional customer service on challenging service calls.

Required 6+ years in commercial HVAC, EPA 608 universal, OSHA preferred, strong diagnostic skills across heating, cooling, ventilation, and refrigeration, and ability to read wiring diagrams.

Qualifications

• EPA 608 Universal required.
• OSHA safety certifications preferred.
• Advanced skills servicing commercial HVAC and related equipment.
• Ability to operate all necessary tools and equipment.
• Proficient reading of wiring diagrams and troubleshooting electrical, refrigerant and duct systems.
• Start up and balance airflow; align belts and pulleys with minimal supervision.
• Install basic duct fittings.
• Troubleshoot and repair electronic air cleaners, refrigeration, gas-fired, hot water, steam boiler, chill water systems, humidifiers.
• Calculate heat gain/loss on commercial buildings using approved methods.
• Effective communication with customers; resolve issues.
• Strong time-management and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Trains technicians and performs service work on complex issues.
• Assists Field Supervisor or GM with audits, site supervision and planning.
• Performs commercial service and maintenance calls under supervision.
• Diagnoses and resolves customer problems in a courteous, timely, and accurate manner.
• Inspects equipment and performs diagnostics to prevent breakdowns.
• Completes routine maintenance and equipment cleaning.
• Manages parts/equipment delivery and paperwork.
• Maintains safe and professional company image and ethics.
• Supports field leadership with site planning and estimation.
• Trains service staff and participates in quality audits.
