Job summary

Carrier is seeking a seasoned Project Manager for Commercial HVAC Mechanical Installation in the Chicago area. You will independently manage projects, work with customers, architects and engineers, and oversee subcontractors.

Responsibilities include planning, budgeting, scheduling, and ensuring safety and quality on site. Ideal candidates have 3+ years in HVAC project management, proficiency with Microsoft Office, and the ability to read blueprints and electrical/mechanical drawings.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of project management in Commercial HVAC Mechanical Equipment Installation.
• Experience communicating with customers, architects/engineers, and vendors.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and manage project plans, schedules and budgets.

Responsibilities

• Manage installation of commercial HVAC equipment across various markets.
• Coordinate with end-users, sales, and prime contractors on scope and deliverables.
• Develop comprehensive project plans including design, permits, materials, labor schedules and field installation.
• Forecast revenue and track costs, monitor progress and resolve issues.
• Lead Change Order processes to control scope creep and ensure margins.
