Job summary

Admiral Heating and Ventilating, a Chicago-based leader in commercial HVAC solutions, seeks an experienced Project Manager to oversee complex construction projects from proposal through completion. You will manage budgets, schedules, change orders, procurement, and reporting, coordinating with field teams, engineers, and owners.

Candidates should have 7+ years in commercial PM and HVAC, a bachelor’s or related degree, and proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in project management, engineering, finance or business from an accredited college or university or Associates in business or accounting preferred.
• Fluent with Microsoft Office Suite.
• 7+ years’ experience in related industry or project management field preferred.
• Extensive knowledge of HVAC and piping.

Responsibilities

• Prepare project budgets based on takeoff estimates.
• Plan, organize and manage the construction project from start to completion, including contract proposals, budget, change orders, materials procurement, billing and collection.
• Ensure compliance with contract requirements and change-order procedures.
• Monitor costs, efficiency, and production to stay within labor budgets.
• Coordinate with field and project team to track progress and report on budget.
• Manage and disseminate all project documentation.
• Maintain communication with general contractor, A&E team, owner, subcontractors and other stakeholders.
• Oversee procurement of major equipment and fixtures.
• Support the company safety program and participate in safety initiatives.
• Formulate and submit change order requests in a timely manner.
• Assist estimating as requested.
