Job summary

Jobot is seeking an experienced Estimator for our Massachusetts team north of Boston. The role focuses on preparing cost estimates, bid proposals, and collaborating with PMs during preconstruction on commercial projects.

The ideal candidate has 8+ years of estimating in commercial construction, reads drawings well, and is proficient with estimating software and MS Office. Competitive salary and strong benefits offered.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of estimating experience in commercial construction.
• Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and pricing.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Proficiency with estimating software and Microsoft Office.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate cost estimates and bid proposals.
• Review plans, specifications, and contract documents.
• Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier pricing.
• Perform quantity takeoffs and cost analyses.
• Collaborate with project managers and operations teams during preconstruction.
• Help identify value engineering opportunities and cost-saving solutions.
