Job summary

Jobot in Bowmansdale, PA is seeking a Senior Estimator (Commercial) to join our team. Develop and deliver accurate cost estimates for diverse commercial projects, prepare bids, and support project planning from design through bid.

The ideal candidate will have 5–7 years in construction estimating, strong Excel skills, and the ability to read blueprints. You will negotiate terms with clients and contractors, and contribute to budgeting and scheduling. Generous compensation and benefits included.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5–7 years of experience in construction estimating, with a proven track record in commercial sectors.
• Proven experience in bidding, takeoffs, and cost estimation.
• Strong knowledge of construction materials, methods, and industry trends.
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills; ability to manage multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver accurate cost estimates for commercial projects (e.g., retail, multi-unit, hospital, industrial).
• Analyze designs/specifications to identify cost risks and opportunities.
• Prepare and submit competitive bids; cover all project aspects.
• Manage contracts, including negotiation of terms and conditions.
• Collaborate with project teams to develop plans, budgets, and schedules.
• Conduct pre-construction evaluations and analyze construction methods and materials.
• Utilize estimating software for cost estimation, takeoffs, and cost management.
• Liaise with clients, contractors, and stakeholders to align goals and expectations.
