Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Senior Estimator in Charlotte to join our construction team. You will prepare detailed hard-bid estimates for commercial projects, collaborating with PMs, engineers, and architects to ensure accurate, competitive bids.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in construction estimating, focused on commercial projects.
• Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or related field preferred.
• Proven expertise in hard bid estimating.
• Excellent analytical and mathematical skills with keen attention to detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with teams.
• Proficient in estimating software and related computer applications.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Solid understanding of construction methods, materials, and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for commercial construction projects including labor, materials, and equipment.
• Utilize hard bid estimating to deliver competitive and accurate bids.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and architects to understand project requirements and costs.
• Review and analyze project plans and specifications to determine total cost.
• Evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotes to meet project specs and budget.
• Participate in pre-bid meetings and site visits for accurate estimates.
• Maintain a database of historical cost data for future use.
• Provide guidance to junior estimating staff and participate in post-bid reviews.
