Job summary

Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS) seeks a Senior Commercial Crew Command and Data Handling Engineer (Level 4) for the Kennedy Space Center, Florida. You will lead hardware/software integration and requirements development across C&DH subsystems, coordinating with suppliers and cross-functional teams to deliver mission-critical systems.

The role emphasizes system architecture derivation, testing, and collaboration with customers, with a 1st shift onsite expectation and NASA access

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, or Aeronautical), Computer Science, Data Science, or related field.
• Typically 9+ years of related work experience.
• Experience defining tests to validate performance specs.

Responsibilities

• Oversight of hardware delivery, maintenance and install via cross-team coordination.
• Understand interfaces between flight software and C&DH components.
• Collaborate across multidisciplined teams to ensure efficient delivery.
• Demonstrate initiative with minimal oversight.
• Lead development and documentation of complex electrical system requirements.
• Translate requirements into system architecture, hardware and software designs.
• Lead testing and validation to meet requirements.
• Monitor suppliers to ensure integration and compliance.
• Resolve issues for fielded hardware/software across lifecycle.
• Research tech advances for potential application.
• Recommend technology investments.
