Job summary

Millennium Space Systems, a Boeing Company, is seeking a Senior Spacecraft Command and Data Handling (C&DH) Engineer to drive C&DH architecture decisions and avionics design for space vehicles. You will lead high-stakes trade studies, verification, and system-level integration with autonomy and clear communication to stakeholders.

The role requires a Bachelor's in an engineering field and 9+ years of spacecraft experience, with SpaceWire/Ethernet/RS-422/485/LVDS expertise.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in Electrical, Computer, Aerospace, or related discipline.
• 9+ years of experience with spacecraft communication protocols (SpaceWire, Ethernet, RS-422/485, LVDS).
• Ability to obtain U.S. Citizenship and a U.S. security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Architect C&DH subsystem architectures for system-level design.
• Lead trade analyses of avionics architectures for performance vs. cost.
• Define requirements, interfaces, and verification activities.
• Perform data-budget, signal integrity, clock drift, jitter, EMI/EMC analyses for margin.
• Own vendor selection and make/buy recommendations balancing risk, cost and schedule.
• Mentor junior engineers and drive technical excellence across programs.
• Support FDlR strategies and mission operations as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.
