Job summary

BMO U.S. is seeking a seasoned Credit Manager to analyze credit information and support lending decisions across a commercial banking portfolio. You will assess repayment capacity, structure loans, and monitor risk in collaboration with Relationship Managers and partners.

You will sign off on new, renewal and extension loans within delegated authority, while driving client relationships, revenue growth, and adherence to bank policies and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; Business Administration, Finance and Accounting preferred.
• 5–7 years of relevant credit or lending experience in a corporate or banking environment.
• Strong knowledge of credit risk assessment, loan structuring and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Analyze credit information to support lending decisions across a commercial portfolio.
• Structure loans and terms aligning client needs with risk appetite and bank policies.
• Monitor portfolio performance, identify risks, and recommend capital allocation strategies.
• Develop and deliver proposals to capture new business and expand client relationships.
• Collaborate with Relationship Managers and business partners to optimize client outcomes.
