Job summary

Epson America Inc. is seeking a Senior Counsel to join our Legal team in a hybrid role based near Los Alamitos, CA.

You will manage a portfolio of legal issues related to Epson products and services, draft and negotiate commercial contracts, and partner with sales, marketing and product teams to drive business outcomes. The role requires 6–10 years of experience in commercial contracts, strong communication and risk assessment skills, and eligibility for California bar membership.

Qualifications

• 6–10 years of experience with commercial contracts and cross-functional partnering.
• In-house experience supporting sales, marketing and product development for tech products.
• Strong communication, project management, and business judgment.
• California bar membership or active bar membership in good standing in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.

Responsibilities

• Advise on compliance with applicable laws and policies within defined areas.
• Assess legal risks and opportunities and advocate plans to minimize risks for the business.
• Collaborate with department lawyers and senior management to shape legal strategy.
• Draft, review and negotiate a wide range of contracts including supplier and channel agreements.
• Support product-related legal workstreams, including licenses, IP positioning and risk allocation.
