Job summary

Relativity is seeking a Senior Counsel, Commercial Transactions to draft, review, and negotiate a broad range of customer-facing and strategic commercial agreements, with emphasis on SaaS, software licensing, and cloud services.

The role partners with Sales, Product, Security, Finance, and other teams to enable growth, manage risk, and optimize contracting processes across AI-enabled offerings and data processing. JD required with US license to practice.

Qualifications

Eight or more years of relevant experience in-house and/or at a law firm.
Experience negotiating SaaS, software, cloud services, and strategic partnerships.
Experience supporting complex commercial contracting environments.
Knowledge of data privacy, security, regulatory considerations.
Juris Doctor degree and US license to practice law.
Ability to research and analyze legal issues.
Proficient with AI tools and Salesforce, Ironclad, and Asana.

Responsibilities

Lead customer, procurement, and strategic commercial negotiations (SaaS, software, hybrid cloud, AI) and partnerships.
Provide strategic legal advice and negotiate high-volume contracts with varying complexity.
Engage with customers to ensure they feel heard and deliver value.
Suggest and implement process improvements and standardized forms.
Lead pricing initiatives and governance in collaboration with finance and business teams.
Navigate internal approvals, prioritize contracts, and respond to stakeholder questions.
Utilize AI tools, MS Office, Salesforce, and Ironclad effectively and responsibly.
